  • On the heals of the Bronze Medal at the London Wine and Spirits Festival a couple of months ago, we have yet another piece of great news:

    The 2005 Elkhorn Ridge Vineyards & Winery "777" Pinot Noir has captured a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition, the biggest such event in the United States!

  • The London International Wine & Spirits Festival, the biggest wine judging in the world, has judged Elkhorn Ridge and has awarded us the BRONZE MEDAL for our 2005 "777" Pinot noir!

  • The Elkhorn Ridge Estate Bottled 2004 Pinot Noir has been chosen to be part of the Governor of Oregon's Private Wine Cellar, where it will be served at various official state functions and dinners.

  • Decanter Magazine has just awarded the Elkhorn Ridge Estate Bottled 2004 Pinot Noir their prestigious "3 Star Award," in a tasting of North American Pinot Noir, the details appear in Decanter's April and December 2006 issues.

    "The 2004 Estate Bottled Pinot Noir finished in the #5 spot among all 2004 Oregon Pinot Noirs that were tasted."

  • On the wine awards front, we like to brag about the fact that we were accepted into the Portland (Oregon) Indie Wine Festival in 2004, on our very first try!

  • The “Indie” is open to wineries whose total annual case production of all varieties is 1,000 cases or less. Acceptance into the “Indie” is further restricted to wineries whose wines were selected by a blind juried tasting process and voted on by eight professional wine judges.

    There’s more! The festival was attended by over 500 people, including the trade, who were asked to cast ballots and vote for their favorite wines in eight different categories.

  • We are proud to say that the 2003 Elkhorn Ridge Vineyards & Winery Estate Bottled Pinot noir was voted the “Wine Worth The Corkage Fee.” Roughly translated, this “People’s Choice Award” means that, regardless of the amount of the corkage fee a restaurant charges and regardless of their wine list, the 2003 Elkhorn Ridge Vineyards & Winery Estate Bottled Pinot noir is the wine to bring!

  • An additional accolade: one of the top wine stores in the country, commenting in their national newsletter regarding the 2003 Elkhorn Ridge Vineyards & Winery Estate Bottled Pinot noir, stated that “this outstanding Pinot noir will pass for a top-notch premier cru Burgundy in a blind tasting!” WOW, need we say more?
